I finally walked through this route nearby, and I found it to be quite nice. The weather has been really nice considering it's mid-September, in Finland!
During the first week of my holiday I've tried to keep myself going. On the weekend me & the kid went to see the old forests in Liesjärvi national park. Next time we'll climb up to Hyypiökallio.
Today I ended up to that area again, this time to the swamps in Torronsuo national park. Both of these national parks are located in Tammela, near Forssa and Somero.
Unfortunately, I didn't bother to check in advance that Tytyrin Kaivosmuseo (mining museum) in Lohja seems to be open mostly during the weekends only.
Admitted, for a moment I was thinking of a headline like "blood, sweat and tears" as a sort a reference to my earlier post.. But actually last week was quite nice. Sporty, vacation-like and.. simply nice.
Pictures here are from my Peurunka activities, then there is Hitonhauta also in Laukaa (10 km from Peurunka), Keski-Suomen Ilmailumuseo (Aviation Museum) in Tikkakoski, and Kallioplanetaario "3D movie theatre". Last one is through Peukkula's gates in Jyväskylä - it was already closed for this summer.
For the next five days I'm going to do sports, sports, sports. It's a thing called kuntoremontti, "health improvement" programme. It includes a lot of exercises, all kinds of fitness tests, and a few lectures too. And scenery couldn't be better - the sunset is from tonight, from the top of Multamäki hill hiking trail.
Getting here was also kind of trial of fire for my "new" car. Luckily it seemed to pass the test without any problems. :)
