Sahtimarkkinat 2012

Okey dokey now, here we go. The first event I visited in July was the traditional Sahtimarkkinat @ Padasjoki. Umm.. the following image was the most suitable "artistic representation" I could find. ;)

Summer 2011 update 14/16: Padasjoki pt. II

We went camping with my son to beautiful Padasjoki. He was excited about spending the night outdoors, but managed it very well after all. There was also Elomarkkinat at Arrakoski.

Padasjoki is a really beautiful summer town along lake Päijänne. It was Nakukymppi time again. ;)

Sahtimarkkinat 2010 @ Padasjoki

The sunny weather continues.. it's just great.. Sahtimarkkinat is one of the main events for Padasjoki, a beatiful town with a coast to lake Päijänne. Sahti is a sweet-tasting kind of "primitive beer" that even Michael Jackson highly appreciated.

It was raining a bit on the eve, but on Midsummer Day the weather was simply great..

An eventful weekend around Päijänne

Last weekend was really nice. On Saturday I took a small cruise (from Kuhmoinen to Padasjoki) in the Päijänne National Park views with M/S Elbatar.

On Sunday it was time for some comedy in an open-air "summer theatre" at Kuhmoinen. On the way back home we stopped at the Vääksy canal.

Signs of spring

This year Easter time seems to bring some positive signs about spring closing in. It's only ten degrees outside, but warmth of the sun can definetely be felt in the air. Lake Päijänne still has a crumbling ice cover.
