A summer attraction for the kids. Like I recall somebody describing, "at first it looks like a gypsy camp", but it's actually just home-made and quite nice. A sight of some small animals (mostly bunnies) is also included.

Lemmenlaakso @ Järvenpää

Welcome to the Rio Amazonas! Well, not quite.. but this nature trail along Keravanjoki's decidious woodlands was really nice. What really "crowned our tour" was a sight of some wild badgers (in the middle of the last picture).

Halkian kotieläinpiha

This is the nearest "country farm" from where we live. For my kids it was nice to see and feed some animals, though I'm not still fully sure if it was worth the whole 5€ (pps) entrance fee.

Hyvinkää outskirts

Here are some sights from Hyvinkää, "Nallevaarin Talo" (Teddybear museum), Vauhtipuisto (Speed Park), airfield and the Sveitsi skiing slope (from a distance).

Askola

Time for another huge batch of updates. First one is about town of Askola, located between Porvoo and Mäntsälä. One of Askola's main attraction is a site with some notable hiidenkirnus (potholes).

Sarvikallio

It was a nice view from on top of a rocky hill in Järvenpää that is said to have inspired artists. Maybe even great composers like Jean Sibelius..

Himos

This update is actually from June.. The main event on the TV was the wedding of Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel (of Sweden), so for us it was nice to take a day trip to Himos. We drove to the top of the skiing hills to admire the view. They had the V8 Magazine Summer Meet there at the same time, so especially for my son was nice also to admire American cars with powerful sounding engines..
