Let's call it spring

The trees seem to be getting the leaves a little earlier this year, which is certainly nice! :)

Just plans: Pikku Rengastie

This summer I'm thinking of packing the tent and heading out to see at least 100 road kilometers of the Turku Archipelago. I already ordered the guidebooks, so let's see. :)

A link to more information about Pieni Rengastie.

The small tourist

After the American Car Show, we took a ride with the tram to check some sights in the springtime Helsinki.

It was my son's very first tram ride and he seemed to enjoy it (and the metro ride too). :)

American Car Show 2011

The 34th American Car Show arranged by FHRA was held last weekend in Messukeskus, Helsinki.

It was a big event, a lot of nice American cars, tuning cars and motorcycles. I'm already looking forward to taking my son to see the Classic Car Motorshow in Lahti next weekend. :)

Jänkhägrilli?

A traditional sight in Finland - nakkikioski! (Let's see how this new hot dog stand fits in.. as you can see, there are already two pizza places in the picture.)

Signs of Spring 2011

The pictures of flowers were taken yesterday and today from around the same place. It seems sun sure can make the hay grow in one day. :)

(The first picture is from last week.)

Tivoli Seiterä @ Mäntsälä

It's always nice to have some "action" visiting Mäntsälä too. :)

Hockey night in Jyväskylä

It was nice to visit Jyväskylä to see the local hockey team JYP facing off with Blues from Espoo. The better one won and went to the finals. :)

Jyväskylä's centre has a nice and simple "grid plan". The central promenade, Kauppakatu, was really something that Mäntsälä could learn from too.
