Surely frozen sushi cannot be quite as tasty as the real thing, but it's close enough to my taste..

An eventful weekend around Päijänne

Last weekend was really nice. On Saturday I took a small cruise (from Kuhmoinen to Padasjoki) in the Päijänne National Park views with M/S Elbatar.

On Sunday it was time for some comedy in an open-air "summer theatre" at Kuhmoinen. On the way back home we stopped at the Vääksy canal.

A warm summer day in Djurgården island, Stockholm

This site exceeded my expectations. Skansen is a really nice place, I'm not sure if there's anything quite like it in Helsinki - unless one counts Seurasaari, Korkeasaari and Linnanmäki altogether.

Also the cruise with Viking Mariella was nice. Stockholm's archipelago was as beautiful as ever.

Today Helsinki, tomorrow Stockholm!

A family trip to Stockholm with Viking Line awaits. Hopefully it will not be raining all of the time.

Since the 2-years old is with us, the main destination is Djurgården island with Skansen and Gröna Lund.

Cows, chickens, sheep, goats, ducks, even peacocks - you name it, and this place probably hosts 'em all. The kid naturally enjoyed the visit, and luckily for grown-ups they'd also serve coffee or beer.
